Bricks

Pillars for Turf is raising the funds to give Community Memorial Stadium in Mt Pleasant, Michigan a modern synthetic turf surface. Donors purchase engraved bricks for a wall inside the stadium, and larger and corporate donors can claim a pillar along it.
New turf goes down in summer 2027

Community Memorial Stadium opened in 1965. This year we mark its 60th season by giving it a modern turf surface the whole community can play on. And the timing is set: the field is scheduled to be replaced in the summer of 2027, so the funds we raise now will put that new surface down with it.
We build a brick wall inside the stadium out of bricks purchased by donors. Every brick becomes part of the stadium.
Donors can engrave their brick — a family name, a graduating class, a team, or a memory.
Pillars along the wall are available for purchase by larger donors and local businesses.

Additional stadium improvement funds will be raised through advertisements within the stadium and future brick purchases.
Replace the playing surface at Community Memorial Stadium with a modern synthetic turf surface.
Update the long jump, pole vault, and high jump locations at the stadium.
Update the ticket entrances so getting into the stadium is easier for everyone.

No mowing, no fertilizer or pesticide, no watering — just brushing and occasional vacuuming.
Less water use, far fewer chemicals near our groundwater, and turf commonly made of recycled materials.
The band, soccer teams, youth football, and P.E. classes all gain full access to the field.
Dependable conditions for games and practices all season long, plus eligibility for official MHSAA events.
Every brick moves us closer to a turf field our whole community can use. Rather send a check? We gladly accept monetary donations of any amount.
